Keswick

Keswick is the quietest of Albemarle's great equestrian regions — a patchwork of boxwood-lined drives, five-board fences, and the kind of estate land that trades by word of mouth. Thirty minutes from downtown Charlottesville, a little closer to the Rivanna, and unmistakably its own place.

Most of what sells here is farms in the 20 to 200 acre range, with the occasional historic manor coming available every few seasons. The Keswick Hunt Club has ridden this country since 1896, and that continuity shapes what buyers want here: open pasture, clean water, mature trees, and the sense that the land has been loved for generations.
